Refund policy

Thank you for shopping with Poppylane Clothing Limited (“Poppylane”, “we”, “us”, “our”). We want you to love your purchase, but if you’re not completely satisfied, you can return your items in line with the policy below.

Cooling off period
While we would bring your attention to our General Refund Policy (below), if you are contracting online as a consumer and are an EU resident, the EU Consumer Rights Directive provides that you may cancel a Contract at any time within 14 days, beginning on the day after you received the products.

If you have purchased products from the Website and if you decide to cancel your order pursuant to this Clause 8, the Directive provides that you must advise us within 14 days of receipt of the products. You can email us at poppylanesligo@gmail.com stating your wish to cancel your contract and quoting your order reference number.

You must return the items to us at the above address. You will be responsible for any cost incurred or risk in returning products. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the products while they are in your possession and you will be responsible for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling of the goods beyond that necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Under the Directive if you fail to inform us within the 14 day period you will not have a right to cancel the Contract and return the products. This does not affect your statutory rights and you may still be able to return products under our General Refund Policy.

General Refund and Exchange Policy
Customers that are not entirely satisfied with their order can receive an exchange or refund within 28 days of receiving the goods.

Returns by post: Customers that wish to return an online purchase for a refund should post the item(s) and the dispatch note back to us within 28 days of receiving the item(s). We recommend using a tracked postal service and retaining proof of postage for customer’s own records.

In-store exchange or refund: Customers can also exchange an item or receive a refund in store within 28 days of receiving the item by returning the item(s) and delivery dispatch note to our store. The item(s) must be in saleable condition and in the original packaging with swing tags attached.

Refunds or in store exchanges may be given within 28 days from the date of receiving the goods for products of saleable quality returned in the original saleable condition, in their original packaging, with swing tickets/barcodes attached and with the relevant online dispatch note or store online receipt. Please contact us (at poppylanesligo@gmail.com) if you have lost or mislaid your dispatch note. Refunds will be credited to the original tender used to process the payment. If products received as a gift (recipient is not the purchaser) and are returned to us for refund, the refund will be processed onto the original card used as payment for the order.

Refunds/exchanges cannot be given (save as otherwise provided) on:

Face masks/coverings either sealed or unsealed.
Underwear - if the items are returned unsealed or not in the original packaging (if applicable) or without the swing tags or hanger (if applicable).
Swimwear, lingerie (for hygiene reasons if seal opened/removed after delivery)
Pierced jewellery (for hygiene reasons if seal opened/removed after delivery)
Personal grooming products or cosmetics (for hygiene reasons if seal opened/removed after delivery)
Other sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection and hygiene reasons and which were unsealed after delivery.
Gift cards (Note - this does not affect your right to return gift cards under Clause 8 – Cooling-Off period)
This does not apply in respect of faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods where your statutory rights are unaffected.
To qualify for a refund, all products must be returned to us in accordance with the returns policy set out above.

Faulty/incorrect products received
In the unlikely event that you have received the wrong products from us or that the products are faulty or damaged in any way please contact us at poppylanesligo@gmail.com with photos and details.

We’ll arrange a replacement or a full refund, including return postage, in accordance with your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law.

How to Return by Post
  1. Email us at poppylanesligo@gmail.com with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We’ll confirm your return and provide the return address.
  3. Package your item securely and post it back within the applicable return window.
  4. Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll process your refund to your original payment method within 5–10 working days.
Your Legal Rights
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and relevant EU Consumer Protection Laws.
